Evopos is able to import OPEA price files into Evopos as price books.
OPEA is a widely used industry standard for delivering price files in Australia.
The files make use of a discount code system allowing the dealer to specify discounts to work out the dealer cost price.
Discount Codes
Discount codes are used to work out the cost price.
Franchise Dealers
Discount codes should be setup prior to importing the OPEA file.
Your supplier or manufacturer will supply with a document outlining the discount codes.
Setup
- Navigate to Items\Price Books
- Select the Price Book from the drop down menu
- Select Discount Codes from the side menu
- Select New to create a new discount code
- Enter the discount code and the discount amount
- Click Save and repeat for all discount codes
Non-franchise Dealers
You are still able to import OPEA files but you will need to manually set the discount each time you import.
Follow the import procedure below and you will be prompted after step 6.
OPEA Cost Price
Some suppliers include the cost price as the list price in the OPEA file, you will be prompted to enter the discount percent which you can leave as 0.
Import OPEA File
- Navigate to Items\Price Books
- Select the Price Book from the drop down menu
- Select Maintenance from the side menu
- Select the Import - OPEA option
- Find the OPEA file by clicking the search icon in the file text box
- Click Ok to Import
