Our cost of goods sold adjustment option will add journals to reduce stock and increase cost of goods sold, this keeps your inventory and cost of goods sold up to date in Xero.

This can be turned off in the integration settings if you want to handle this manually.

Set different accounts for standard items, used units and new units.

Non stock items, manual lines, and labour does not adjust cost of goods sold.

Set custom accounts on individual main groups, sub groups, categories, and items. See Custom Accounts for more details.

How It Works

Adjustments are split by item type:

Standard Items

Includes customer orders, items sold from price files, and manual lines with a cost.

Items are summarised on batch, invoice, and purchase order.

Units

Any new or used unit.

Units are detailed with individual lines for sales, cost of goods sold, and inventory.

Non stock items, manual lines, and labour

These line types do not adjust cost of goods sold or inventory.
