Will create Unit Main Details, plus if in stock or a Sales Date is supplied, it will also create a Unit sales detail record.

Will also create Unit Type and Model Template records if they do not exist, so it can be better to import Model templates before this to have them better populated.

Enter Units in a spreadsheet and re-arrange the data into the following column order, then save as CSV Type. Fields in red are optional.

Import Units

If you have a Model Template file you would normally import this first (There are ones for certain Industries on our Portal).

  1. Prepare file as above. See general information on importing
  2. In Evopos select Items, Units, Maintenance and Import Units.
  3. Select the file to import

Special Features

If the file name contains 'PROMPT' and the Model is Blank it will prompt for a Model, Make and Type

If the file name DOES NOT contains 'PROMPT' and the Model is Blank, it will not import that record, but create a new file \Evopos\Import\ConvertedUnits.CSV with the details and attempted Make, Model and Type match by looking in the Model Templates for words contained in the Part Number and the Item Description for that Part Number in the Stock file or Price Book PF_02 (If a Part Number isspecified)

If the file name contains 'NOTEMPLATE' it will not create a Model Template

To import Units for Unit Main Details (for Jobs etc) but not create a Unit Sales Details record, then set IsStock to 0 and leave SellDate and SellInvNo Blank.

If you set a SellCustno Evopos will search for that CustNo in Contacts and if found allocate that unit to that Contact,
