Navigating Evopos
We aim to provide a consistent, intuitive and easy to learn layout to navigate through Evopos.
Our core navigation consists of our top menu and side menu.
The top menu is the main menu, it is always visible and allows you to quickly navigate to other areas.
The side menu is the menu for the area currently selected from the top menu.
Most of the options that are on menus can be hidden or restricted depending on the Security Level settings. See Settings / Security
Top Menu
Displayed at the top of the Evopos window is the Main Menu.
You can use the function keys (F2, F3, F4...) on the keyboard to quickly access different areas.
Clicking on one of the options available to you will open the appropriate screen or Sub-Menu.

Sales is the place for invoicing, estimates, crediting previous sales, performing end of day batch reports, internal transactions, booking parts to jobs or creating sales orders. | |
Contacts is where you list your customers and suppliers names, addresses, phone numbers & emails, check customer accounts and transaction history, create mailing lists and send SMS text messages. | |
Items is the home of your stock file, supplier price books, custom price levels, kits and actions, Unit details and categories. It is also where you perform your purchase orders. | |
The Organizer is a diary for booking in workshop jobs, appointments, staff holidays or absences, tracking loan vehicles and creating tasks. You can also re-print job cards and set up job templates. | |
Log Time allows you to monitor your engineer performance and track which jobs they are working on. It’s great for producing efficiency reports too. | |
Accounts is the place for entering purchase transactions, banking entries, account reconciliation, journal entries, debtor control and payroll. Valuable reports and business analysis is also found here. | |
Reports is a powerful tool which allows you to access practically unlimited information about your business and edit the reports to your requirements. You can also reprint invoices, estimates, job-cards etc. | |
Settings allows you to configure your system. Set print options, scheduled backups, view communication logs, system security, workstation defaults and more. | |
Login is used to log-in as a different operator. It can also be used to log-out. When logged out, the Login page displays the default web page and can be used as an internet browser. You can also see which operators are currently using Evopos. | |
Messages is a useful application which enables you to send internal messages to staff members. You can link the messages to jobs, tasks and reminders and also view historic messages for information. | |
The CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) is for monitoring prospects, tasks and logging reports or calls. It's extremely useful for tracking possible business leads and recording communications between you and your customers. | |
Evopos has a built in Web Browser which can be configured to only allow the sites which you choose to be viewed. Common websites are enabled by default. | |

Side Menu
Displayed on the left hand side is our side menu, this menu will change depending on what area of Evopos you navigate to.
In this screenshot you can see the side menu for the Sales form.
In this example for the Sales screen
- Finish - Takes you to the Sales Finish screen to Print / Add payment details etc. once you have entered all the transaction lines.
- Search - This is an advanced Item search where you can search by Text anywhere, Group / Category, Brand, Supplier etc.
- Edit - Where you can edit the details on any line
- Discount - To enter various types of Discount
- Hold - Puts the current transaction on Hold so you can recall it later
- Recall - To Recall a Held Transaction, Job, Estimate, Sales Order etc.
- Clear - To clear either the current line or the whole transaction
- Options - Other sales related Options such as End of Day Batch, Release Backorders, Credit a Sale, etc.
